Isabella Palumbo, PhD

Licensed Psychologist

Welcome!

I'm Isabella Palumbo, a licensed clinical psychologist based in Cumming, Georgia.
I strive to provide a thoughtful, whole-child approach to understanding complex profiles.

I am a psychologist who specializes in comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 2 and up). I provide a welcoming, supportive space for individuals of all neurological profiles and gender and sexual identities, and approach every evaluation from a strength-based perspective. I work with a wide range of developmental, learning, neurological, and emotional presentations, particularly when the picture appears complex, inconsistent, or difficult to fully understand.

My approach is grounded in developing a whole-child understanding, with careful attention to the many factors that shape an individual's development and day-to-day functioning. Both my clinical work and research training have emphasized the complexity of human development, including the ways genetics, environment, temperament, developmental history, and life experiences interact over time. I look closely at how factors such as language and learning processes, attention, emotional functioning, medical background, family systems, and environmental experiences come together to shape each individual’s unique profile.

I am especially interested in understanding how different developmental pathways can lead to similar outcomes and how similar early experiences can result in very different presentations from one child to another. This perspective allows me to approach evaluations with curiosity, nuance, and an appreciation for the many factors that contribute to a one's strengths and difficulties.

My goal is not simply to provide diagnostic labels, but to help families develop a clearer and more meaningful understanding of how the different pieces fit together.
