A Bit About Dr. Palumbo
Dr. Palumbo is a neurodiversity and LGBTQ+ affirming clinician who is passionate about working with children, families, and young adults (ages 2 years and up). She provides client-centered, evidence-based neuropsychological assessments and has expertise in evaluating children, adolescents, and young adults with a broad range of neurodevelopmental, neurological, and psychiatric conditions. Dr. Palumbo is motivated to understand the unique systems that influence an individual’s development, such as biological and genetic factors, stage of life, family and community support, and systemic barriers to equitable treatment. She has dedicated her work to understanding one’s unique circumstances and goals to bridge the gap between the difficulties a young person may face and the services they need to reach their full potential. Following comprehensive evaluation, her goal is for individuals and families to have a clearer understanding of their or their child’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as how to move forward and improve their lives.
Dr. Palumbo is from south Florida and obtained a dual Bachelor's degree in Biology and Psychology at Florida State University and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology & Cognitive Neuroscience from Georgia State University.
